About Me
I'm the mother of three bilingual adult children in their 20s. Two of them live with me and one is even a teacher like me! I love languages and speak fluent French and Spanish. I've studied several other languages including Russian, Portuguese and Hebrew and have worked at West EC for 14 years. Previously, I taught English to adult immigrants at a community-based adult education center. I love animals and have three cats, two from the pound and one who found our back yard.
Education
I majored in Spanish and Latin American Studies at the University of Maryland, got an MS in linguistics at Georgetown University and an MA in Bilingual Special Education at George Washington University.
Favorite Book or Related Interest
There are too many to list but One Hundred Years of Solitude by Gabriel García Márquez and James McBride's The Color Of Water are favorites.

Hopes and Dreams For SY 2010-2011
That all the children I work with become fluent readers with excellent comprehension and develop a love of reading and learning.
