I grew up in Silver Spring, Maryland and attended Howard University, School of Allied Health in Washington, D.C., graduating with a Bachelor’s Degree in Health Sciences. Post graduation I worked for years in the health field, but soon realized that my true passion was to be an educator. In August of 2001, I began my teaching career at a District of Columbia Charter School.
In May 2006, I earned a Master’s Degree in Education in the area of Curriculum and Instruction from National Louis University another stepping stone in my growth and development as a teacher.
I am married and have two children; a girl age 7 and a boy age 4. The entire family enjoys exploring the US and the world. More specifically I love to bike ride, dance, and participate in aerobic exercises.
Favorite Book: “Who Stole My Cheese” by Ilene Hochberg
Hopes and Dreams for 2010 SY: I expect that all my scholars make substantial gains both academically and socially and are promoted to the next grade. |
