Welcome to the 2010/11 school year!
I was born in the suburbs of Chicago. There I met my husband of 8 years. I have a sister who is about to have her second child. I love spending time with my nephews as well as reading and swimming. My husband and I live in Silver Spring, and are constantly working to remodel out house.
Education
My Bachelor's Degree is a Bachelor's of Arts in Elementary Education from Roosevelt University in Chicago. I then went on to get a Master's of Science Degree in the area of Reading Instruction and Remediation. During this time I also became a National Board Certified Teacher in the area of Middle Childhood. This is my 10th year teaching, and my 2nd here in DC Public Schools.
Favorite Book
My favorite book, or series of all time is Curious George, I love how he is always willing to explore and come up with solutions to problems. Another favorite book of mine is The Grapes of Wrath. I love to read and always have my Kindle with me.
