My son Jonathan is now beginning his third year at West, entering kindergarten. His experience and education have been great, and I want West to continue to be my family's first choice for his education. I've lived in the neighborhood for more than 10 years, and I've seen great progress at West. As a member of last year's LSAT, I have an even greater appreciation than before. Ms. Caruthers has made great strides and I want to do what I can to see things turn around even more during this key year. I'm a strong supporter of public education who grew up in an educationally focused household: my mother was a high school teacher specializing in early childhood development, and my father was Dean of Arts and Sciences at PG Community College. In addition, my career as an engineer and company director provides me with a good understanding of organizational dynamics and decision making, and I’ve also recently finished a six year stint on the board of directors for my church. I hope you will give me the chance to continue my service to West this year. |
