Hi All,
Apologies for the mass e-mail, but when you’re a parent of DC Public School students, begging for money is par for the course, even in economic times like these! It’s fundraising time, and my child's school (West Elementary) is trying to raise enough money to buy test prep materials for our students, and really, could there be a better cause??? Although our fundraising committee is setting the goal at $2,500, the actual cost to provide books for EVERY student in our testing grades is about $3,500. HOWEVER, for those of you who would rather donate money instead of buying something, we are also accepting direct donations—our fundraising goal for the entire year is $20,000. Cash, Checks or Money Orders can be made out to “West PSCO” and either sent to me or directly to the school (West School, ATTN: PSCO, 1338 Farragut St NW, Washington, DC 20011).
