Membership in the West PSCO is guaranteed to ALL Parents and Staff members, regardless of whether or not you are able to pay—however, we would encourage those who are able to contribute to do so. But why? What does the money go for?
Your membership dues will be used to supplement the general fund of the PSCO. The general fund is used to finance our basic operating costs including: obtaining Non-Profit status, Supplementing school supplies, providing childcare at meetings, funding events, and more. Details on expenditures will be made available by our Treasurer monthly AND after any fundraiser/event that raises additional money for the organization.
This year, we have set a VERY ambitious goal of raising $35,000. This money will be used to host the annual Spring Fling, provide Test Prep Materials to EVERY student in our testing grades, ensure that EVERY student can attend field trips, and much more. Our hope is that we will sail right past this goal this year, and be able to set an even more ambitious goal NEXT year, perhaps even being able to fund a Before Care program and additional teaching positions for the school.
Your membership ensures that you are on the PSCO mailing lists, and gives you the right to vote in all PSCO elections. For members of the West Community who do not have students enrolled but are invested in seeing our school succeed, membership begins at $25 per person.
