  • 78 percent of Kinder scholars are on or above level in reading 
    according to their middle-of-year (MOY) benchmark.

     

  • First Grade, on average, grew 39 points from beginning-of-year (BOY) to MOY on the math iReady test.
    This is more than one year’s growth in only half a year!

     

  • 70 percent of second-graders are on or above grade level in reading. And, 77 percent of second-graders met their goal of showing a half-year or more growth in math. (37 percent of second-graders grew a full year.)
     

  • Third-grade scholars beat the DCPS average by 5 percentage points on the last ELA ANet test.
     

  • 81 percent of fourth-grade scholars met their i-Ready math goal.
     

  • Fifth-grade scholars beat the DCPS average by 8 percentage points on the last ELA ANet test.
     

  • Student's rated their satisfaction with West at 93 percent.
     

  • West has seen a 38 percent increase in My School DC lottery applications.
     

  • In 2017-2018, West had a staff retention rate of more than 80 percent. (DCPS average: 60 percent)
