Fundraisers
By organizing various fundraisers throughout the school year, the West PSCO has provided laptops for our students, Aftercare scholarships, professional-development materials for our teachers and gym equipment.

Book Fair and Family Reading Night

All proceeds from our annual Book Fair benefit our school library and other programs for students. This year's event will be held from February 23 through March 1, 2018. Many volunteers are needed to help make this event a success. Volunteering at the West Book Fair and Family Reading Night is a great way to stay connected to your child at school, help students find the books they can't wait to read and meet others who love reading.

West Technology Drive

At West, we seek to prepare our scholars for the world beyond the classroom. In an increasingly tech-heavy society, we know that integrating technology into the learning experience is critical. We have invested funds for high-quality, individualized online curriculum but still lack the updated technology for all scholars to access this curriculum on a consistent basis. We are in need of both desktops and laptops for our scholars, both to access the curriculum and to increase the time they spend researching and writing online, which is also a key skill scholars will need as they prepare for college and career. Thank you for your support!

Staff Wish List

You asked...we listened! Many of our parents have asked how they can better support our teachers. Now is your chance! Our staff has compiled a "Wish List" of items they believe will benefit our students. The list is broken down by class/grade. Don't see anything in your teacher's list right now? Not to worry. Items will be added as the year progresses. If you have questions, or if you are planning to purchase any of these items, please contact Tekiah Brabham, our PSCO staff representative.

Middle School College Tour

Early exposure to college, instilling a love for learning and fostering an interest in education at a young age can work wonders in increasing a child’s motivation. Above all, it is important to make a college education seem accessible to all students. Mr. Bowden, our Dean of Culture, is planning a college tour in Atlanta, Georgia, for 20 of our top Middle School scholars. While there, the students will visit Morehouse College, Spelman College, Georgia State University, Georgia Tech, Clark Atlanta University and additional schools in the area. This will be the opportunity of a lifetime for many of our students.
