We’re Wild About Reading in 2020!
We're excited to announce the following activities this March to encourage and accelerate reading among West Scholars. 
Read-A-Thon

In celebration of Read Across America Week all 350 West scholars will Drop Everything and Read for 35,000 minutes in unison Monday, March 2nd - Friday March 6th. 

Our goal for 2020 is to raise $1500 during this reading pledge drive.
•    $500 - will purchase electronic books (e-books)
•    $1000 - will purchase iPods for book QR Codes, small group instruction, live-translations​, and coding
•    $1500 - will purchase books & book jacket covers to maintain protective covering

We look forward to your support! 

Please spread the word to family, friends, and neighbors. Pledges of any amount are welcome and may be made online by March 9th), or returned in the envelope provided to your scholar. Checks should be addressed to West PSCO.

Scholastic Bookfair (Online and in-Person)

This year we are hosting both an on-line and in-person bookfair. All proceeds support the school and support reading!

Online Book Fair dates are February 26 - March 10.

 

Online orders will ship to school for free after the fair is completed.

Family Literacy Night 


Tuesday March 3rd, 5:30-7:00 PM

Join us for a night to celebrate reading and promote literacy at West. Come dressed as your favorite book character and enjoy a fun evening celebrating the wild world of literature.  The book fair will also be open during family literacy night!
